Thank You

I just left my brain somewhere in outer space o_o

Today I thought I woke up to another normal day, which turns out to be a very long one. I got up from bed, did, my usual routine everyday until the time for me to leave for school. My mom gave me my allowance for the rest of the week and when I was to put it in my wallet I didn’t find it there. It was not in my bag ((which I checked twice)) nor can I find any trace of it in my room. I left the house without telling my parents what I found out.

During the whole trip I was trying to remember where I’ve gone the previous day and where I possibly lost it. Grr. It's so pesky. It contains several bills ((I put the rest on my coin purse)) and especially my ID which is probably the most important thing inside that thing. It means my whole life to me for I cannot enter school without it, and I’d have a record in the discipline office ((a left/lost ID is ground for minor offense when done for several times. Crap.)). And the cost reprinting an ID in my school is quite pricy. At that time I don’t really care about the money anymore, I’m more concerned with my ID. My first suspicion was it might be picked from my bag. But I wasn’t that convinced, since I put it on the back side of my bag and if someone tries to pick my wallet from it then I surely would feel his hand in it. But at the back of my head I thought I might’ve left it in the library, where I dropped by during break before going to my first class in the afternoon yesterday.

So to make the long story short ((I don’t like to tire you with a lengthy post)) I went twice to the lost and found section in the morning finding nothing. I was physically present but mentally absent during my classes for the whole day and was unusually restless and quiet the whole day, still worrying about that thing. Then before going home I’ve decided to go back for the last time in the lost and found and finally I found my wallet. Indeed my suspicion was right that I left it in the library. I was so relieved, and for the first time that day I was able to genuinely smile.

We went to the library and thanked the library guy who found my wallet and surrendered it in the lost and found. Maybe if it were another person who saw it I wouldn’t get my wallet back. I’m also very thankful for two of my friends who were with me at that time. It’s a really big help and I’m very thankful to both of you.

Moral of the story: Always carry your brain with you at all times.
